I'd always admired Sherie's work, even when I was riding with another instructor. While other instructors berated their clients, even yelling at them during lessons and bringing them to tears, Sherie remained jovial throughout the sessions with her clients, and her clients exuded confidence and did well. So when I finally got the opportunity to take a lesson with Sherie, I jumped at the chance!
I rode two horses that day, one of which I was apprehensive about riding in a dressage lesson since the mare had never been exposed to any sort of arena training. Sherie's easy-going attitude put me at ease, and her instruction enabled me to get a lovely walk, trot and canter from the mare within the first half hour of the lesson.
The real value of Sherie is the unique combination of an easy-going attitude with solid instructional background and a competitor's spirit. (She kinda reminds me of Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh!) I've seen her work with a lovely Morgan horse and take him from pasture horse to Prix St. Georges competitor. But her resume speaks for itself.
Bottomline for me is this... If you're looking for an instructor who will teach you to RIDE and/or make the most out of your horse, while treating you with dignity and respect, you need to consider Sherie Grant.

Sherie is a wonderful coach! Our daughter, Samantha, has been with Sherie for a year now and loves her to pieces! It is absolutely amazing how much Sammie has learned. Not only has Samantha developed beautiful horsemanship skills, but her confidence, patience and tolerance have bloomed tremendously! Sherie is so passionate and skilled in her field, it simply shines when she gives her lessons! She explains the meaning of every new step and ensures that her student absorbs exactly what she means until they get it right. We are so grateful to have Sherie in our lives. She is a true CHAMPION in our eyes and has become a part of our family!
