Sherie Grant began riding at 5-years-old. Her parents insisted on securing the best instruction even then, and put her in training with Laurie Falvo-Doyle, who is still her mentor today. She spent a year refining her FEI skills aboard the Hanovarian stallion, ACHAT with trainer Robert Dover. This resulted in Sherie making the long list of Olympic Dressage hopefuls. Additionally, she trained with other memorable instructors over her 35-year career, including: Trip Harting, Kamila DuPont, Dennis Callin, Hilda Gurney, Christing Traurig, Christolot Boylen and Udo Lange.
While Sherie's main focus is dressage, she has a well-rounded training background. She has trained with the following trainers in these disciplines:
Eventing:
Corey Walkey, Brian Sabo, Lars Sederholm
Hunter/Jumper:
Karassizi Brothers and Mike Nielson
Sherie's FEI skills have not only been tested in the show ring, but while training Lippizan stallions for the "Tournament of Kings" show at the Excalibur Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. "It was like being in a Grand Prix horse show six days a week!" remarks Sherie.
Forty years invested in training the offspring of her family's warmblood breeding operation have given her the necessary experience and patience required for debunking challenges and situations that arise at all levels of training.
